Pros: Nice product, much to learn. 100% work from home. Great team (also depends on your manager). Good salary at the time of joining, compensated by 3-4% hike and deducting bonus afterwards. However, if someone is not good at negotiation, HR will try to trap them on the name of RSU.

Cons: Many hikes miss at random appraisal cycles. Delayed IPO. Forced layoff, where they will make you leave the company without them asking by jeopardizing career aspirations and stagnating financially. As a consolation, HR will give RSU; however, it has no value as if you leave the organization before IPO, even vested RSU will be forfeited. Stock and RSU have no value because of the high exercise price (even more than the current stock value as per the company's own assessment). RSU will become null and void if the company never goes IPO, or if someone leaves the organization or is laid off.

Pros: I was lucky to be assigned to really good managers. Lots of learnings. Fully remote. Workload is manageable. No need for overtime. Good place to learn for mid-level engineers.

Cons: Low salary grades. Some seniors will tell you to just Google when asking for help.

Pros: Good work-life balance; starting to place more emphasis on quality instead of shipping speed. Fun teammates - everyone pretty seasoned, smart, no politics that I've seen, just transparency & good collaboration. Trying to build things the right way is important in the culture. Sanjay is a great CEO - makes good decisions, values quality, treats employees with respect, 0 politics, transparent about very important & consequential decisions. Feels good to have someone like that driving the car.

Cons: Sometimes there's still a bit of startup "disorganization." Some teams are figuring things out for the first or second time, and some processes are still maturing at Netskope but have already been figured out at bigger companies. Some parts of the stack still have a bit of debt. Some internal middleware for Netskope is a bit hard to learn and non-industry-standard, which is taking a while to transition away from. Most new teams have the freedom to maneuver around this stuff, though, which is nice. So it's getting deprecated, but it's slow because of how central it is.
