The first phone interview was conducted over a Zoom video call. The interviewer seemed disengaged and randomly asked a dynamic programming question for a test automation position. I doubt he himself knew it required dynamic programming to be solved.
The interviewer was so unprofessional that his Mac kept rebooting during the interview. There were various other logistical issues on his end while he asked me to "keep going at it."
He repeatedly stated this was just to gauge my approach. I attempted to solve the problem for the entire hour, despite the ongoing logistical issues at his end.
Randomly, within two days, I received a rejection.
This was a very random and unrelated interview process. Questions should be curated to be relevant to the position.
When would test automation ever require dynamic programming? And would the interviewer himself even be able to solve the question he asked me?
