Pros

Full remote work environment. Not one of the best but a decent base salary in Canada. WLB may be good if you are an average capability engineer.

Cons
  • Less RSU/EOSP bonus. Even worse is no visibility to go to IPO yet.
  • Never met cash bonus target.
  • No extended health insurance.
  • Unlimited PTO but actually less flexibility to use and a glass ceiling for some managers, like up to 5 days per quarter, which is less than limited PTO if we sum up vacation + personal leave + sick leave.
  • Too many underperforming engineers.
  • No interactive communication and collaboration between teams.
  • Totally disconnected engineering team and product engineering team (infra).
  • Not working as a team, but working as individuals.
