I was approached by a contracting company for this position. There was an initial phone screen, followed by a coding assignment, and then an in-person interview.
The in-person interview with the business team consisted of two interviewers. They asked scenario-based questions, such as "Give me a scenario where you helped a project by doing this and that." They also asked how I would deal with projects that have no requirements or no documentation. One of the interviewers was sometimes very abstract.
The tech interview involved designing a basic web app with a RESTful API.
The technical interview was disappointing. The interviewer, "Bobby," randomly called another colleague to assess me without looking at my resume. This colleague was unprofessional and asked random, somewhat aggressive questions. I felt no motivation to put in much effort, although I considered leaving multiple times. I just went along with it.
The unexpected part was the unprofessional tech interviewer. I should have walked out but didn't, purely out of decency.
In 10 years of IT work experience, I haven't seen jerks on an interview panel.
