Process

I got an email requesting a call with HR, which happened soon and included standard questions and a quick description of the position and the company. I was told that the hiring manager would contact me soon for a technical interview.

This happened about a month later.

The technical interview was with the hiring manager and three other people from his team; it was a video call. It was mostly talking about my previous experience and them diving into deeper questions for the topics that were related to the position at hand. They described the state of the company and the position's expectations. There were no coding questions, and most questions were business and behavior related. I left with a positive opinion about the team.

About another month later, I got another email requesting another meeting from HR. This was scheduled soon after. It was a video call again. It started with some questions about the interview, and at the end, a verbal offer was given, explaining some details about it. After this, an email was sent, not with the full offer, but with some documents about benefits and with a short description about the verbal offer being provided.

Questions

How do you deal with internal customers who are very technical and are trying to tell you how to solve your current issue, but it turns out they are actually wrong?
