First, I got a programming challenge in an email, which I was supposed to submit within two hours of receiving it. After submitting the challenge response, I received an email scheduling another round in about one and a half weeks.

In the second round (which was telephonic), I went through my resume. Then, I was asked for explanations and assumptions of the code I submitted in the earlier round. I was then asked about my previous industrial experience and challenges I faced during that.

After the telephonic round, I waited for about two months for a response. Right after exactly two months, I got the offer for the position.

I was asked to count the occurrences of words in a file and return the list of word-count pairs in an order: 1. descending by count, 2. ascending by word.
