I got a good resignation package.
Also, I enjoyed a 6-month grace period when I was laid off.
Work style was excellent.
After 5 PM, the office was almost empty.
Long summer holiday, longer than 2 weeks is possible.
I love the company culture.
Salary was relatively low.
Many silos in the department and even at the individual level! Typical European company. Company-level strategy changed frequently, which led to many lay-offs. People looked lazy relative to me :-)
No strategy. It has changed very often.
I applied online and a recruiter or HR contacted me. I went through a phone interview and then an on-site panel interview. There were 4 groups in the panel interview: * Your prospective managers * Your prospective peers * Managers from other teams
Applied at a school job fair. Got a phone screen first, then an on-site interview with a group of about 8 potential interns. They had C/C++ tests and behavioral questions. Got selected within a week of the on-site interview.
They interviewed about 8 people. Someone from HR took each candidate back to a room and asked basic behavioral questions and briefly described what the mechanical engineer division was all about. Then they took 4 of the 8 people back and had 4 table
