Pros
  • Putting a lot of effort into state-of-the-art techniques for writing better code (clean code, agile methodologies, focus on testing, etc.).
  • Many possibilities to develop your skills, with good training schemes.
  • Opportunities to evolve within the company.
  • A good working environment; I enjoyed spending time at work.
  • A very good benefits package for Poland.
Cons

The size of the company was sometimes overwhelming. It was super hard to get a RAM increase or an SSD drive in order to work faster on the code, because of so many layers.

Advice to Management

Try to keep the most valuable and long-term programmers in the company by offering them adequate raises. Otherwise, they'll change jobs after a few years.

Invest more in the tools of the trade. It's really worth buying slightly more expensive computers that have SSDs or more RAM. This really does matter when you're working on a large codebase.
