I interviewed with Notion in August/September 2023. The process took about 3-4 weeks, and I made it through to the final interview.
You have to sign an NDA to not share the interview material. They have it well documented in their interview guidebook:
The recruiter was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the process! All engineers during the interview process were very friendly and asked great questions. It was fun talking to the Head of Data as well.
The only strange part of the process was when I was told that the Head of Data would be my last interview, and yet they scheduled me for an interview with the Head of Finance. I found that strange for a data engineering IC role, especially after six interviews.
It seemed like a stall tactic, as that interview was cancelled the day before, once another candidate accepted their offer. I guess that's the reality of the interview process.
If there was anything you could change at your current company, what would it be?
