The interview process typically begins with a tech screen, followed by a virtual on-site, and then an interview with a leadership team member. Each of these stages can vary depending on the role you are applying for, and your recruiter should be able to provide clarity on what to expect.
Similar to another candidate's experience shared here, I genuinely enjoyed the initial stages and connected well with all my interviewers until the leadership interview. While I didn't interview with the CEO, my experience with the final interviewer felt rushed. It seemed as though they were rapidly going through a list of questions, conveying a clear disinterest from the outset.
This raises questions about why Notion continues to have these final-round interviews with company leaders who appear to have more pressing priorities than engaging with candidates, and who clearly demonstrate a lack of care during the interview.
Despite this last encounter, I remain a strong admirer of the product. However, I will need to consider the possibility of reapplying in the future.
Respecting the NDA and won’t share, but they provide a pretty thorough doc for what to expect.
