The interview experience was okay, but the post-interview experience was horrible.
There were four rounds of interviews:
The Engineering Manager (hiring manager) who conducted the fourth round reached out to me on LinkedIn for a full-stack developer position. My CV was shortlisted, and then the interviews were conducted.
After the interviews, the HR called and informed me that I had cleared all rounds and they wanted to roll out an offer. She asked for all documents for joining formalities, such as payslips and KYC documents. She called again for final salary negotiation, and we agreed on an amount.
Now comes the scariest part, which every candidate dreads. The HR started ghosting me; she didn't pick up my calls or respond to my messages. This went on for two weeks, and then she finally picked up the call and informed me that the position had gone on hold.
Now, just imagine how you would feel as a candidate who had set all expectations of joining this company, was just waiting for the offer rollout, only to be deprived of the opportunity.
Where did the candidate go wrong?
