There process is long. They schedule interviews in advance dates, so they scheduled mine 3 weeks later for 2 days. But the really absurd thing is they reached out to someone in my current company before the interview even began. Apparently, someone in the hiring team knew someone in my company, who turned out to be my manager. It was really unprofessional. It's one thing to do background verification after interviews are done, but before? Well, my manager was looking out as well, so he didn't mind. Rather, encouraged me. Well, anyways, the interview went ahead. The interview was great. I was asked a simple DSA problem. I answered it swiftly and wrote the most optimal code too, with handling edge cases as well. Usually, the interviewer doesn't reveal whether you are right or not. They just discuss the solution. So, after a small discussion, he was satisfied and agreed the solution was correct and needed no further optimization. After, we just chatted for the next 15 minutes about the company and work culture. Had a nice chat. We cut the interview with 15 minutes to spare. The very next day, another interview was scheduled. Now the real twister happened. I get a mail that they won't be moving forward with my candidature. I was flabbergasted.
