Pros

Diversified but biased multicultural environment. Interesting technology provides stepping stones for upgrading a career in computer services support in data centers. Interaction with Engineering departments was very positive.

Cons
  • There is no entity to handle issues with incompetent first-level management.
  • Nutanix allows discrimination based on age, disability, and company politics.
  • The profanity level in IT Swamp is higher than in military service.
  • Incentive stock options and the last paycheck were stolen.
  • Nobody cares if you work overtime.
  • The CIO and two managers are inhumane.
  • H-1B visa fraud.
  • NTNX shareholders are very unhappy with your performance. What's your excuse for its value dropping below IPO three years after the CEO rang the bell in NY?
Advice to Management

Revamp NITS (Nutanix IT Swamp).

Set up a real ombudsman position that would evaluate employee grievances about immediate unscrupulous managers before wrongful terminations are in effect.

You need to encourage inventions, not just buy little companies with some ideas.

Set up a panel of competent people to review applications for improvements and innovations.

Ask senior people with "very long resumes" what they would do in case of "..."

Improve the first impression effect at HQ. Compare your poorly designed reception area to other software giants in the Valley. A drone and bicycle on the wall? Really?

Replace the silly motto stack on the office walls! At least add a statement: "Wash your hands before you exit the restroom – or we'll never touch your mouse & keyboard!"
