As is usually the case, there is a standard of good people and technology here.
Unsuspecting candidates are lured into working here under the pretense that benefits are better than industry standards, then these benefits are unceremoniously reduced and compensation is inadequately adjusted. Management then attempts to hide this through censorship, removing very popular Slack channels and replacing them with moderated ones. Worse, senior management is so out of touch they think employees won't figure this out. The company has a long way to go to be considered truly enterprise class. Recent decisions and moves have brought into question their competence to get us there. The company isn't profitable and management can't figure out why. Management's lack of business acumen is taken out on the workforce.
The path to profitability is through business process and product, not through silencing and abusing the workforce.
The interview process included an HR interview, a take-home assignment, an assignment review interview, three technical interviews, and one Managing Director interview. The technical interviews focused on C, Rust, concurrency, and the Linux kernel.
The interview process included an HR screening, followed by a technical screening and three interviews with members of the team I applied for. The whole process was very fast; I received the offer less than two weeks after the initial HR interview.
The interview was friendly, and the questions weren’t difficult. I went through one round with the recruiter and three more rounds with other departments. I felt I did okay, but I didn’t receive an offer.
