Silicon Validation Engineer Interview Experience - Santa Clara, California

Process

The HR sent me an email to schedule a 45-minute phone interview first.

The interview was postponed for about one month as the hiring manager went out on business.

The interviewer first introduced their product to test. I was asked a lot of DSP problems, which I didn't prepare for. There was no follow-up after that.

Questions

For a 1GHz bandwidth oscilloscope, what will happen if you use it to monitor a 1GHz square wave?

If the Vpp of the square wave is 1V, what's the Vpp of the waveform shown on screen?
