Process

I withdrew from the process. The recruiter didn't seem to understand I was in a different timezone (even though it was clearly marked). After finally getting that squared away, the recruiter did not call on the agreed date. Two days after the missed call, I received an email canceling "for our meeting today." I decided to move on.

Later, I received an email saying, "Let's talk at 10 am." I forgot about this and did not confirm; sure enough, I received an unexpected call at 10 am. That went well, so I was off to the hiring manager.

The hiring manager conversation was odd. He asked me the same questions two to three times. There may have been a language barrier or something. The questions were pretty easy, but it felt more like a background investigation than a job interview. It was hard to read the hiring manager.

The following Monday morning, I noticed a calendar invite on my Google Calendar a few hours out, during a timeslot I had a meeting. I was never asked for my availability. There were about eight people on the interview panel. My experience with large interview panels is that those interviews are terrible and all over the place. I declined and decided not to pursue the opportunity further.
