Pros: Oracle has somehow managed to acquire great engineers who, despite the lack of encouragement from the top, try to do their best. The projects are challenging!
Cons: If you think you need a computer to do your job, you are wrong. Equipping an engineer with a 3-4 year old computer is not uncommon. Productivity is never measured; quality is never measured.

Pros: A great company to work for that wants to maintain work-life balance. Depending on the group you work for, you can gain exposure to great new technologies, etc. Being part of a bigger entity like Oracle, you can look for internal opportunities for career change.
Cons: Competitive salary at the time of hiring. However, increments later were not that great for experienced folks. Most of the time, promotions don't come with salary increases.
