Interviewing for a Sr. Principal Software Engineer position at Oracle Cloud.
The interview process included:
- A phone chat with the hiring manager, followed by a coding screen interview.
- A five-person virtual onsite interview.
In general, the interview process was well-structured, and communication was timely. The recruiter did a good job.
Questions
There are quite a few behavioral interview questions, quite a few system design interview questions, and some coding exercises.
In general, the coding exercises are easy.
For the system design interview questions, I answered with an event-driven application architecture. One interviewer was happy; it sounds like the other had no idea of this kind of application.
