Senior Principal Software Engineer Interview Experience - Turkey

Process

I cleared the initial interviews and was told that I am a strong candidate. Then the recruiter notified me about the on-site interview, the last step, which would take place in 2-3 weeks.

After 7-10 days, he emailed me saying that I would need a visa, which would take some time, and they didn't have time for that!

Well, what a professional company!

Oracle Work Experiences

Secure place to work, horrible salary increases

Senior Principal Software Engineer • Current Employee

Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States

December 30, 2013

Pros: No concerns of being laid off. The work is generally interesting and not too stressful. Opportunities exist to move around.

Cons: 8% salary increase over the 10 years I've been at Oracle. Most of the time, no one actually tells you that you didn't get a salary increase. Lots of political BS at Oracle.

Senior Principal Software Engineer • Current Employee

Pros: Good benefits, stable environment.

Cons: Little to no pay increases. Work could be mundane (depending on the area). The large size also means it's slow to innovate.
