Process

The 5-hour onsite interview consisted of six individual interviews. Everyone was kind and helpful, and while it was a long day, it was a low-stress environment.

The first interview focused on soft skills. The second was informal and held over lunch. The next three interviews were technical. Finally, the day wrapped up by meeting the hiring manager for any final questions.

Questions

How would you determine if a binary tree, when bisected down the middle, is a mirror of itself?

How would you implement the least recently used cache?

How would you find the value closest to a given value in a BST?

Pros: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is the way to go if you're trying to get into the cloud space. The company is a little bit behind compared to its competitors, but there are plenty of growth opportunities. I was lucky to have a great team and a supporting manager.

Cons: Work-life balance can get bad due to operations.
