Pros: A very good opportunity for students. I have learned a lot there. Even though I was only a student contractor, I was working on my own interesting project with a lot of freedom and responsibility.
Cons: Weak cooperation between different teams. A lot of teams do the same thing on their own. They should share tools, resources, and knowledge more. You can easily pretend to be busy without doing much work there. (And some coworkers really do that).
