Process

A long interview and an incredibly long overall process:

(1) Interview

Common discussion of previous work experience.
1 hour for 5 or 6 small and easy tasks. These were really small pieces of code (read and find errors), and creating simple algorithms for task solving.
Interview with the team.
English speech test.

(2) Final decision - about 2 weeks.

(3) Screening - diploma, previous work, contacts for recommendations, university mentor contacts, etc. This took about 1 month.

(4) Offer processing - from 1 to several months. I know a person who waited for 9 months.

Questions

Java constant pool, Java class loading, etc. JVM details (not necessary, good to know).

There is heavy inequality; top coders get the same benefits as the worst ones. The only incentive to work is self-advancement.
