Good benefits. Nice office. Option to choose a Linux laptop. WFH friendly, even before COVID. Good learning. As an IC, you're on your own, wikis are pretty bad.
Legacy HR appraisals.
Not everyone gets RSUs.
Takes time for promotions and hikes.
IAM team is not good; it basically depends on your org.
Many times, layoffs become a concern.
I have seen 80% layoffs in my previous team.
Improve HR appraisals. Add new technologies. Do some open source contributions; why it is so restricted? Learn from Red Hat, Google, MS, etc. Improve wiki pages and documentation for the team and customers. Make good team culture and restrict selfish culture within teams.
