Pros: Interesting and challenging work. Good salary and benefits. Great people, peers, and managers. They really care about the product, the people, the users, and their health.

Cons: Like many smaller companies that are still basically a startup, Oura has a somewhat dynamic environment. New people join, some (very few) leave, and direction and priorities change more quickly than at the "dinosaur" companies I worked at. However, during 2022/2023, with about 500 FTEs, there is a noticeable improvement in stability and forward-looking plans.

Pros: Relaxed, positive, forgiving, empathic, and structure

Cons: Planning, unstructured deadlines, and many redundant people

Pros: My time at Oura so far has been fantastic. I was nervous about starting a new job remotely, but everyone has been super helpful, and a lot of thought has been put into the onboarding of new employees. I've managed to meet so many new people, and in every conversation I have, I learn something new—there is so much incredible work going on here. Through the interview process, I got to learn about Oura's mission and values, which really resonated with me. Since joining, it has become clear that those are not just words; the company and the individuals who work here really believe in the work we are doing. It's so refreshing to work somewhere where the goal is to have a real positive impact on people's wellness and their lives. I find senior leadership to be very open and transparent, and they have laid out a clear vision of what is to come for us.

Cons: Honestly, there are no cons as far as I see it. The company is growing fast and we have a lot of work to do, so we need to continue to hire good people.
