Fast-paced, excellent for learning a lot of different stuff

Pros: Really fast, a lot of new things starting and a great opportunity to learn a lot. You can learn and have exposure to different parts of the software and customer interaction as a forward-deployed engineer, which is very unique.
Cons: As a forward-deployed engineer, you usually don't get to learn anything very deeply, other than customer interaction. You are more of a jack of all trades, master of none kind of guy.

Smart Team, Boring Database Work

Pros: - Smart and diligent coworkers
- Nerd culture meets business sense
Cons: The work itself becomes boring soon. It's essentially the databases 101 challenge SELECT ... FROM ... WHERE, over and over again.
The promises of the contract offer were not honored in full: The starting date was pushed back several months on short notice (2 weeks). Stock was not granted in full. Many perks have been slashed after the IPO.
The starting salary is high for recent graduates but then stalls. Progression cannot keep up with other tech companies.

Pros: Great autonomy and responsibility.
Great people.
Cons: There is certainly a large amount of pressure to work hard, but I think this is required given the responsibility that we have.
