I applied online and received an online coding test from the recruiter. I passed the test, then had a call with the recruiter for a common chat about my background and experiences.
A few days later, I was rejected because they didn't have a role that fit my profile. Well, what an honest reason! Shouldn't that have been the first thing to check? I guess the recruiter had no idea what to do, so they just sent me a "bait" test to waste my time.
Clearly, the recruiter wasn't being sincere. It's totally understandable to reject a candidate, but treating people in such a way shows a lack of respect and professionalism.
