Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

I applied online, and about three days later, a recruiter emailed me to set up a phone interview with one of the engineers. On the day of the scheduled phone interview, I waited about 45 minutes, and the engineer never bothered to call. I contacted the recruiter to see what was going on, and she apologized for the engineer.

We scheduled a second phone interview with a different engineer for the following week. Again, I waited 30 minutes past the interview time and didn't receive a single call. I contacted the recruiter, and she couldn't get in touch with the engineer who was supposed to interview me.

Okay, fine. Maybe the third time's the charm? We scheduled again for another phone interview with another engineer. Déjà vu, another "no call." I immediately withdrew my application since this company treats recruiting like a joke.

HR did a great job communicating throughout the process. The engineers, on the other hand, do not care about helping the company acquire talent. I guess they think they're too good to be interviewing candidates? In that case, they signed up for the wrong position, as the company clearly requires engineers to conduct interviews.

Take down the job post if you aren't going to bother hiring new people.
