Cloud Backbone Engineer Interview Experience - Bengaluru, India

Process

The interview was for a Cloud Backbone Engineer position, with a panel of two members: one seemingly from a networking background and the other from cloud. The process began with networking questions, and one panel member appeared very sarcastic with all my answers. The questions were not straightforward, so my answers weren't perfect either, but I did my best to answer based on my experience. For every answer, he would giggle and say, "No, that is not how it's done." I felt each company has its own design, and this was very unprofessional. I had never had such an experience before.

Then, they moved on to cloud-related questions. The position was advertised for 5-7 years of experience, but they seemed to be expecting someone with architect-level experience. I felt I answered most of the cloud questions fairly, but they were not satisfied that I couldn't provide answers to their most "stupid problems." At the end, he asked me to consider other positions they were hiring for, which I thankfully declined.
