Frontend Engineer Interview Experience - France

Process

A strange and disappointing experience.

The entire process, including all HR interactions, felt entirely AI-generated and managed. I invested 2 hours in interviews (1 fit, 1 technical) and 3 hours on a timed "home exercise." While the interviews themselves went relatively smoothly, they included AI bots to take transcripts. Out of curiosity, I requested the transcript, only to find it was a complete mess—about 30% accurate, with the rest being incoherent, AI-generated nonsense.

Based on the interviews and the homework, things seemed to be going well. However, they ghosted me for a week before sending an impersonal, automated rejection email after I followed up for updates. There was no explanation for the decision, and even the headhunter lacked any real details. The entire process felt unprofessional and poorly executed.

TL;DR: I spent 5 hours on this process and still don’t know what went wrong. I’m also still waiting for the data access request from their DPO.

Overall, a bizarre and frustrating experience. I wouldn’t recommend engaging with them.
