Process
I applied online and received an email from a recruiter who immediately asked about my visa status. I informed her that I would soon be on OPT. She later claimed that since I do not have an H1B, they could not consider me because they needed someone to start soon.
It appears their HR personnel lack knowledge regarding visas, work authorization, and illegal discrimination. After a week of email exchanges, they agreed to a phone interview. I believe I performed well during the interview, but a few days later, they sent an email rejecting my application. I was expecting this, given their initial reluctance to interview me based on my visa status.
