Software Engineer Interview Experience - Salt Lake City, Utah

Process

Very long interview process. I understand they want to be thorough, but at some point, they need to be more considerate of candidates' time.

I had a phone screen with a recruiter, a technical interview with an engineer, a phone call with the hiring manager, a take-home assignment (which I had five days to complete), and then on-site interviews. The on-site interviews consisted of one interview with an engineer, lunch with the team, one interview with my hiring manager, and one interview with a different hiring manager.

Their codebase is all in TypeScript. Initial interviews didn't require TypeScript knowledge, but the take-home assignment and the on-site interviews were 100% in TypeScript. Definitely want to familiarize yourself with TypeScript if you haven't used it.
