Embedded Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

I completed one round of HackerRank coding challenge and one round of on-site interviews.

I performed well on the coding challenge and was invited for on-site interviews.

The recruiter I worked with was very unresponsive. I took the coding challenge and knew I had done well. I was given the 10-question variant of the challenge, which I found fairly easy.

After that, the recruiter did not inform me about the next steps for almost three weeks. Then, he invited me for an on-site interview. He mentioned there would be two separate rounds of on-site interviews before a final decision was made.

I had two interviews for the first round of on-site.

  • The first interviewer asked the event trigger question (as mentioned in other reviews).
  • The second interviewer asked a great question that I do not wish to reveal.

The first interview was decent, but I could have done better in the second. However, I really enjoyed my conversation with the second interviewer.

I expected to be rejected after the interviews, but I still haven't heard back from the recruiter, and it has been over a month now.
