Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - United States

Process

The interview process was okay. The interviewer, a director, seemed out of his depth and lacked understanding of memory barriers, crash resiliency, and transactions. He repeatedly agreed with me, offering no opposition or counterarguments.

I developed a bad feeling during the interview, suspecting they weren't looking to hire cutting-edge employees or engaged in cutting-edge work. If your goal is simply to be "parked," consider this company.

The HR department, however, is hopeless. They will reach out to you, then remain silent for months, only to suddenly remember you. Communication and transparency are nonexistent.
