The PMO office causes more problems than any benefit they provide. They think they understand technology as they repeat phrases like parrots.
Make Project Managers understand they are at the bottom of the totem pole and respect engineers. It takes years to become a good engineer, and it takes two weeks to be a cut-and-paste PM.
