DSP Firmware Engineer Interview Experience - San Diego, California

Process

I was referred by an employee and received an email from HR to set up a phone interview. After about 45 minutes, I received a recommendation for an on-site interview. During the phone interview, I was asked many questions about what I was doing and some theory related to algorithms. For example:

  • How to do channel estimation?
  • How to implement a power control algorithm?

All the technique-related questions were based on the interviewer's working experience.

I don't have an on-site interview scheduled yet. However, my experience is that you have to really know what you were doing and make the interviewer believe that you actually did the work as you claimed.

Questions

How to estimate the DP SNR?

How to estimate 16QAM threshold?

Was this helpful?
