I saw this opportunity on the LinkedIn platform and applied through a referral. I received a call from HR. I had two rounds of interviews:
- One online
- The other round was conducted at the Qualcomm office in Chennai.
Questions
I was asked three coding questions:
- https://leetcode.com/problems/single-number/
- https://leetcode.com/problems/count-array-pairs-divisible-by-k/description/
- Given a string, for example, “AABCCC”, return it as “2A1B3C”. A constraint is that if you have 13 'A's as input, you must print it as “9A4A”.

Pros: Apart from salary, benefits like medical insurance, 50% reimbursement on health membership, a 15k discount on Qualcomm products, breakfast, lunch, and snacks, car facility, tuition reimbursement, 6 weeks paternity leave, performance bonus, RSU, and ESPP plan.
Cons: Working at Qualcomm, be it anywhere in the world, is the most hectic and appalling. They have no regard for their employees, and all they care about is getting the work completed at the cost of the employees' health.
Work-life balance is deplorable. Rather than hiring more people, they try to squeeze in the maximum possible load on a person's plate, to the extent of making them work 24/7 (literally).
Rather than doing so, they should spend some time on analyzing what can enhance their employee satisfaction. But no, they don't have time for such abysmal, petty things.
