Qualcomm gives a lot of power to lower-level managers, and unfortunately, not all lower-level managers are good managers. Your life will be like hell if you happen to work for a bad manager.
Provide mentorship and guidance, and sometimes closer monitoring, for lower-level managers.
Do not allow a bad manager to turn his group or department into a private kingdom.
