A good place to work
The engineers at QC are sharp. There's a good amount of young talent, and the company is doing well financially. The benefits package is excellent, and San Diego is a fun town to live in. People are generally friendly and helpful.
It's fun to work on popular consumer products and see other people carrying them around. Management reviews happen every six months, so there is a relatively rapid feedback cycle.
The hours can be difficult. A lot of client companies are in Asia, so travel may be required. Real estate in San Diego is expensive (although prices are falling fast).
Irwin has done a great job leading the company.
