I was rejected after the technical phone interview. Overall, I enjoyed my conversations with everyone. The phone interview did not involve a hard question, but it seems they are very strict on assessing the solution. I identified the optimal solution at the start: DFS with memorization. I decided to start with the DFS without memorization and add the memorization at the end. I ended up forgetting to add it back in. When the interviewer prompted me by asking if there was any way to optimize, I quickly remembered the memorization and added it to my solution. However, I was penalized for forgetting to implement it. They were kind enough to shorten the time until I could re-interview at Qualtrics because they recognized that it may have been an anomaly.

My advice is to get more than 2 hours of sleep before the interview and be attentive to details as you step through the problems.
