Got a call from HR for a 45-minute technical phone interview.
During my technical phone interview, a few basic algorithm questions were asked (Linked List vs. Array List, BST vs. Binary Tree) and I was then asked to code the Anagram problem, which I did with O(n) complexity (using the Robin-Karp search algorithm with slight modification).
My interview went well, and I was sure that I would go to the next round.
But the next day, I got an email from HR saying that I had not cleared the interview.
The interviewer seemed to be very unfair and biased, if I can say so.
I did not ask HR for feedback, knowing they would come up with the same reason: "We cannot disclose."
This was the worst interview I have ever faced, where the interviewer was unfair and biased.
Q: Given an array of strings, group the anagrams.
