Initial Recruiter Call

A standard call where I learned about the specific team I was applying for and discussed my background.

Technical Phone Screen

Approximately half of this interview involved high-level questions about web development. The other half consisted of a single, fair question I'd rate as LeetCode medium. While I didn't ace this question, demonstrating your thought process and communication skills is crucial.

Virtual Onsite

This was divided into five sections:

1. System Design: A fair question, not typically found in standard preparation materials. It offered an opportunity to showcase adaptability to requirements and scaling.
2. Coding Challenge: This was not a LeetCode-style algorithmic question but was more practical. Again, this wasn't a round I nailed, reinforcing the importance of communicating with interviewers.
3. Behavioral (Engineering Manager): Standard questions about my background. Come prepared with good questions; this is your chance to learn more about Reddit.
4. Behavioral (PM): A shorter, behavioral-style interview. It was a very pleasant chat.
5. Coding Challenge: Another fair question, comparable to a LeetCode medium in difficulty.

Overall, this was one of the best interviewing experiences I've ever had. Everyone was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and I was thrilled to receive an offer.
