Process

I applied online and was contacted by a recruiter very quickly. She initiated a call with me to describe the role and guide me through the process.

I had a phone screen with an Android Engineer who asked me some Android-specific questions. We then worked through a LeetCode Easy/Medium problem. The interviewer was very pleasant and made it a positive experience.

I advanced to the next stage and had my onsite interview scheduled. The following rounds took place:

  • One LeetCode-style problem (easy/medium difficulty)
  • One Android Design round
  • One cross-functional interview with a PM
  • One Android coding round (screen-sharing while building a simple app)
  • One hiring manager round

The interviewers were very friendly, and the experience was highly enjoyable.

Questions

The Leetcode questions were very reasonable and also somewhat specific to Reddit.

The Android portion of the interview was also very relevant and easy, provided you have sufficient Android experience.
