Process

Contacted by recruiter via LinkedIn. The process took two weeks. The phone interview was a marketing stunt by them, and then I was called in for a full-day interview (they call it the PowerDay). It was excruciatingly long, and I was tired as hell by the end of it.

  • 45 min - HR: Went over company values
  • 45 min - Perception
  • 45 min - Lunch: Cultural fit evaluation
  • 60 min - Systems team
  • 45 min - Technical presentation
  • 90 min - Controls interview
  • 45 min - Path planning
  • 15 min - Wrap-up

Questions

Questions on previous experience.

Lunch was casual with informal, friendly conversations.

Controls Interview was difficult. I was asked about items that do not appear on my resume. I had to think hard back to my time in school.

Describe what happens when the inner feedback loop of a controller changes characteristics for the worse. They were expecting answers based on the root locus method or Bode plots.
