The experience started out really well, talking with the Rivian Talent Acquisition member who reached out to me. They were very nice and informative on my first phone call.
After that, I had a phone interview with an engineer. I thought it went well, and we talked for 45 minutes. I received an email a couple of hours later, at 5 p.m. on a Friday, saying they decided to not move forward, with no other feedback. It was an automated email, just saying to keep my applications in for other positions.
I found this a little confusing, as Rivian reached out to me, and I did not apply or submit an application. Some background or information on why this decision was made would be helpful, as it seems they did not spend too much time thinking about it.
This makes me think they set up the interview as some sort of requirement, and they were never going to move forward in the first place. Some feedback on why this decision was made would help me greatly moving forward.
