Applied based on an internal referral.
A week later, I had a 30-minute first-round video interview with the hiring manager. I lost track of time, so I felt it went well.
The following week, I was invited to additional rounds of video interviews with individuals from the engineering team and other engineering functions. These interviews totaled 6-7 hours, spread over a couple of days, with each segment lasting between 45-60 minutes. Everyone was friendly and professional at this stage, and nothing was too difficult. I thought they went really well all around.
I was told to expect a quick decision. HR committed to providing feedback within two weeks.
After four weeks, I contacted them for an update with a polite and well-worded correspondence, but I received zero response and no acknowledgment—just silence. This was really poor communication etiquette.
Another few weeks went by with still no communication, no rejection, and no offer. Obviously, I assumed I didn't get the position. Feedback on a decision is the least applicants should expect for giving their time for interviews.
In summary, the people were friendly, but the communication was really poor, especially from HR.
