Staff Controls Engineer Interview Experience - Canada

Process

The interview process is lengthy, taking several months and including four rounds of interviews, from initial contact with the recruiter to the offer. The interviews consist of:

  • A recruiter screen
  • A technical screen
  • A technical project presented to a panel
  • A four-hour marathon interview with four different people, featuring multiple coding challenges.

This process is simply too long. Engineers who are gainfully employed do not have the time for this. Those who are not employed cannot afford to spend three months interviewing before accepting a job.

Questions

Asked to complete a number of live PLC coding challenges.
