Pros: The goals and culture of the company as a whole are great. Most managers care about their team, and the company feels like we are all working towards the same common goals.

Cons: Growing pains. Management can't keep up with how fast the company has been growing, and senior leadership seems to make rash decisions that are not fully thought out. Inter-team communication is also lacking.

Pros: Really great people. Really interesting work. Exciting company mission.

Cons: California is an expensive place to live.

Pros: Good benefits, unlimited PTO (if you are willing to fight for it), flexible hours. Young engineers are truly talented and hard workers.

Cons: The CTO is hiring his friends, not competent people. There is a lack of automotive industry experience. There are lots of politics and unhealthy competition between teams. Directors play along just to please their VPs but there is no proper management for their teams. The CEO has no experience; he is just a brilliant mechanical engineer but can't run a company. Plans are not realistic, and the company is overcommitting. No proper software testing is being done. No proper software processes are being carried out (although they claim they are agile). No one is willing to invest in you or put down a career path for you. There is no consideration for employees when moving to Palo Alto. The company's only focus is on hiring new people, but they don't mind current employees leaving.
