Pros

Good benefits, unlimited PTO (if you are willing to fight for it), flexible hours. Young engineers are truly talented and hard workers.

Cons

The CTO is hiring his friends, not competent people. There is a lack of automotive industry experience. There are lots of politics and unhealthy competition between teams. Directors play along just to please their VPs but there is no proper management for their teams. The CEO has no experience; he is just a brilliant mechanical engineer but can't run a company. Plans are not realistic, and the company is overcommitting.

No proper software testing is being done. No proper software processes are being carried out (although they claim they are agile).

No one is willing to invest in you or put down a career path for you. There is no consideration for employees when moving to Palo Alto. The company's only focus is on hiring new people, but they don't mind current employees leaving.

Advice to Management

People are what make your product. Invest in them and hire better directors/VPs.
