The question asked during the phone interview wasn’t a hard one. Consider it a medium LeetCode question. The problem was with the interviewer. I started coding in JavaScript, and I guess he didn’t understand my solution. I wasn’t given any hints, but I reached the solution and continued with the next question asked about concurrency, which I also answered. Everything was completed exactly in one hour, along with talking about my current job and asking questions in the end. Later, on a weekend evening, I received a generic reject email with no feedback. It was a complete waste of time. Their culture might be to just hire new grads who only brag about themselves.
