If you were hired in 2022 or earlier, you'd have a great salary and remote opportunities. More recently, they've been taking the cheap route and underpaying their new hires.
Robinhood leadership always tries to protect themselves only. It doesn't feel like they care about their larger workforce, only their higher-ups. They use middle management to deliver decisions that can't be changed, so they don't have to face the grief that comes with them. They enlist budget workers, hire cheaper, and make all their employees come back to the office while higher-level employees get all the benefits of full remote work, higher levels, and higher pay. They will hire 3-4 levels lower but give these new hires work that was previously done by higher-level employees. They preach empathy but don't actually practice it, as whatever the decision from upper management is, it is the final word. It feels like it's ruled with an iron fist here, and it's really depressing.
Management feels so out of touch with their direct reports. They work their employees like dogs and don't care about your feelings or personal situations. It's not a collaborative environment; it's more of an "it's my way or the highway" type of feeling from management.
The recruiter was professional and organized. The hiring manager asked standard behavioral and experience-based questions. There was a quick follow-up post-interview, with good advising on next steps. Overall, it was a good interview experience.
I took the OA on CodeSignal. It was fine, with some easy and some harder questions. I don't really understand the number that CodeSignal gives. The recruiter seemed nice, and I heard back in less than a week.
The first round is a CodeSignal OA with 4 questions within 70 minutes. If you pass, you will be given a Karat interview. You should be able to hear from HR regarding the result within 48 hours after the Karat interview. The next round after that i
